Mood: waiting for wind
15th August 2009
Stand Up Paddle Boarding: St Jean de Monts
Wind Direction: cross-on
Wind Stength: F3
Surf / Sea State: choppy
Air Temperature: toasty
Sea Temperature: fine
Weather: sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Bit bored, needed to get wet ..... no waves otherwise would have taken Kona 10'5 & 5.9m out as enough wind for the kitey's .... but chopfest and teabaggers everywhere ... nah ... SUP time.

Noticed the windage of the long nose and also the chop further out. Actually fell of 3 times !!

Kind of fun, in as much as being a kid on an inflatable playing in the sea kinda way, but not ideal conditions for SUP, yet not tempting enough to grab the windsurf kit.

If I'd taken the Hawk 123 and Ram 7.3m I'd have had a blast, but that's the limited travel kit situation.

At least with the SUP I could take the kids out to play too :-)
